Food-contact compliance is not implied for every online mould
Food-contact requirements by project
Food-Contact Liquid Packaging Solutions
Food-contact suitability depends on the material grade, manufacturing route, intended food, process conditions, destination and supporting documentation—not a generic product label.
Selection logic
Match material and documentation to intended use
- Identify the food or ingredient and contact conditions
- Confirm filling temperature, storage period and destination
- Select a suitable packaging route and material grade
- Review migration, declaration and traceability requirements
- Approve samples and project documentation before supply
Important boundaries
Confirm suitability before commercial use
Documentation differs by resin, manufacturing route and destination
Cargo compatibility and hygiene requirements must be reviewed for Flexitank projects

Technical answers
Frequently asked questions
Does food-contact packaging mean every container is food grade?
No. The resin grade, additives, manufacturing route, intended food, contact conditions and required documentation must be confirmed for the specific project.
Can food-contact documentation be supplied?
Applicable declarations and supporting documents can be evaluated after the material, product, destination and order route are defined.
Can a Flexitank carry food ingredients?
Compatible non-hazardous food liquids may be evaluated. Cargo, sanitation, material structure, valve, route and destination requirements must be confirmed first.
Is sample testing still required?
Yes. Filling, handling, closure and compatibility checks remain important even when the selected material has appropriate food-contact documentation.
