Define the formulation before the container
Record the complete formulation type, concentration, solvent content, density and viscosity. These inputs determine which material, closure and barrier questions must be tested.
Select capacity and geometry
Compare nominal fill, required headspace, footprint, height, handle, label panel and case packing. A familiar capacity alone does not establish a workable pack.
Review the complete neck and closure
Use the full neck finish, thread, sealing surface, cap, liner and tamper-evidence requirement. Inner diameter alone is not enough to select a closure.
Consider barrier and permeation
Standard HDPE may be a starting point, while selected products may require EVOH COEX or another project-specific route. Performance must be established with representative samples.
Validate filling and distribution
Run filling, capping, storage, stacking and transport checks using the intended product and closure before releasing commercial production.
